Where is Porsche Made?

car factory interior

From Boca Raton to Delray, discerning drivers understand that nothing drives quite like a Porsche. Their lineup of distinguished luxury vehicles includes instantly-recognizable sports cars and high-performance SUVs like the Porsche Cayenne and the Porsche Macan! So, what country is Porsche made in? These vehicles and many more have all been manufactured in Germany, under the direction of master engineers. Porsche has been doing things this way since Ferdinand Porsche founded the company in 1931, and we don’t expect things to change anytime soon.

Where Is the Porsche Headquarters?

  • Zuffenhausen – At the Zuffenhausen factory of Stuttgart, Germany, Porsche manufactures all of their Porsche sports cars and engines. Here as well, you’ll find that racing vehicles and production models are assembled right on the same line–and this makes Porsche unique amongst all of the automakers in the world. Zuffenhausen is also the location of the Porsche headquarters. Their management team, quality management division, and logistics division are all headed up here.
  • Leipzig – Leipzig, a city in the state of Sachsen, is home to the Porsche factory that manufactures the Macan. Aside from this being the second Porsche factory, there’s at least one other factor that makes this location unique! Porsche operates an FIA-certified 3.7 km racetrack in the city, where Porsche customers can experience everything these exceptional vehicles can do.
  • Weissach – In the modern world, research and development are almost as important as manufacturing! Porsche has located their R&D center in Weissach, Germany since 1971, and they’re currently in the process of updating and expanding their facilities with a wind tunnel, an electronics integration center, and an all-new design studio.
  • Bietigheim-Bissingen – As of 2019, Porsche has located a number of their divisions and subsidiaries in Bietigheim-Bissingen. These include Porsche Deutschland, Porsche Lizenz-und Handelgesellschaft, Porsche Consulting, Porsche Financial Services, and last but not least, the Porsche Engineering Group.
  • Ludwigsburg – If you need to contact the Porsche International After Sales Department directly, you’ll be reaching out to their offices in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
  • Sachsenheim – Ordering new Porsche parts to be shipped straight from Germany? They’ll come from this Porsche warehouse in Sachsenheim, which stores more than 85,000 components.

Now that you’ve seen the answer to the question, “Where are Porsches made?” we’re sure that you’ll be eager to get behind the wheel.
